VdS offers a variety of international conferences, seminars and trainings to demonstrate the latest developments in the field of fire safety and security. These events are platforms for knowledge exchange between international experts from governments, companies, institutions and insurers.

VdS is one of the organizers of Europe’s largest seminar “Fire Protection Commissioner” which is in accordance with nationwide uniform guidelines by the vfdb (Vereinigung zur Förderung des Deutschen Brandschutzes e.V.) and standards of the Fire Protection Associations Europe (CFPA Europe).

Technical Conferences

Technical conferences are one- or two-day events, which serve to provide practical information and a transfer of know-how as well as an exchange of opinions on the topics of Fire Safety, Security and other areas of damage prevention.

If not otherwise indicated, the conferences take place in Cologne. We have agreed special reduced prices for overnight accommodation with various hotels at the locations of the events. The participation fee includes drinks during breaks and a lunchtime snack. Changes of dates, contents and venues are possible. On request, we can organize courses exclusively for you. In this context, not only standard-type events are possible, but also events which are tailored specifically to meet your needs.Training in your own company among colleagues which deals with company specific questions is a very effective method of further training.

In-house seminars take place on customers’ premises. This means that facilities are required, including for example seminar rooms, catering as well as, under certain circumstances, overnight accommodation.

Our courses are organized to take place in small groups. Our speakers come directly from the field and are always delighted to answer questions and join in discussions. Depending on the specific course, for example, group projects, fire-extinguishing exercises and excursions are also planned. The course and seminar participants are provided with extensive course materials as well as proof of their participation. Provided the event ends with the passing a test, a certificate is issued.
